Doesn’t
seem like an English word? Of course, it isn’t. It’s a French word which
literally means ‘already seen’. Déjà vu is a phenomenon that happens to most of
us. It is the feeling experienced, when we are in a new place and in a complete
new situation, and yet we feel that this has occurred to us sometime back and
we have seen it happening. But it’s impossible for us to recollect when it has
happened. Some believe that it has a connection with paranormal occurrences. However, it is quite common in humans so it can be ruled out of
possibility.
Several scientists have put forward quite a few interesting hypotheses to this phenomenon. However there is one hypothesis which intrigues me specifically. It is the relation of this psychological phenomenon to parallel universe. In a blog, Michio Kaku, a very famous physicist explains this. Take a look.
